Fellow alternatives: agendas, AI notes, and pricing

We make Dictaria. This guide includes our product, other providers, and the reasons each may fit. How we compare

Consider Dictaria as a Fellow alternative for individual live coaching, Granola for personal enhanced notes, and Fireflies or MeetGeek for connected meeting workflows. Keep Fellow if shared agendas and a structured meeting routine are the features you rely on. Compare Solo and Team entitlements carefully: the lowest headline price is not necessarily the right plan for one frequent-meeting user.

Capabilities: Fellow and four alternatives

Compare capture, live help, and what you can do with a meeting afterward. These are documented product capabilities; the pricing table identifies plans and limits. This is not an accuracy benchmark.

Pricing: what would your meeting week cost?

For one person, compare Fellow Solo at $29 monthly or $19 with an annual commitment. The lower Team headline is a different offer with ten AI notes per month, so it should not stand in for an unlimited personal plan. The free five-note lifetime allowance is a trial-sized budget. Dictaria’s planned Pro price includes Coach, with Pro currently free in beta.

Amounts are USD per user per month unless marked otherwise; Jamie is in EUR. Annual equivalents require an annual commitment, and unconfirmed billing terms are labeled.

Privacy: where the audio and text go

Fellow states that customer data is not used for AI training, but notes still live in its cloud service. Organization governance and retention options need a plan-specific check. Decide whether the record belongs in a shared organizational workflow or your own meeting history. Dictaria has its own account storage and provider retention, so it should be evaluated as a separate service.

Bot-free capture does not guarantee local processing. Likewise, a no-training promise does not mean meeting content is never stored. These rows describe published policies, not an independent security audit.

In Dictaria, guest local transcription is temporary and has no cloud AI. Signed-in local mode saves text to your account, and Coach sends selected context to cloud AI. Follow Dictaria’s complete data flow to choose the mode that fits your meeting.

When to keep Fellow

Fellow documents collaborative meeting notes with calendar context, assigned action items, and task-tool connections. Its agenda product also supports preparation before people join the call. Fellow documentation; Fellow meeting agendas.

Keep Fellow in the running if shared agendas are a working team habit. Removing a place where everyone prepares may create more friction than a different note generator removes.

A personal assistant cannot create shared ownership for you

Write down who prepares the meeting and who owns the next step. If those people need to edit the same agenda, evaluate collaboration first. If your difficulty is personally keeping up with a dense conversation, evaluate assistance first. The distinction prevents you from expecting an individual tool to repair a missing team process.

Where Dictaria fits

Dictaria fits the individual side of that decision. Coach can help explain a point or suggest a next question during a meeting, using selected reference documents for context. The resulting transcript, editable notes, and saved meeting history support your own follow-up and preparation for the next call. See how Coach works.

Dictaria should not be assumed to replace Fellow’s shared agenda and task-assignment workflow. If your colleagues rely on a common action list, test the handoff explicitly or keep that process alongside your personal assistant.

What to test before switching

Use a short, representative meeting you have permission to record. Keep the source material consistent so you can compare the work each tool helps you finish.

  1. Have two participants prepare the same recurring meeting. Check whether the proposed replacement supports the collaboration you need.
  2. Track one action from discussion to a confirmed owner and due date. Notice where human agreement is still required.
  3. Use a personal clarification request and evaluate it independently from the team’s agenda process.

Making the choice

Choose around the process that needs improvement. Try Dictaria for individual guidance and recall; retain or select a shared meeting workspace when preparation and accountability are the essential jobs.
