Pricing: what would your meeting week cost?
Sembly Basic combines unlimited meetings for one user with a five-hour upload allowance and one year of history. Higher-plan multi-meeting features and agents need a separate check. If generated deliverables are the attraction, estimate how often you will use them before comparing entry prices. Dictaria’s planned Pro bundle centers on live Coach assistance, with free Pro access during beta.
Amounts are USD per user per month unless marked otherwise; Jamie is in EUR. Annual equivalents require an annual commitment, and unconfirmed billing terms are labeled.

Privacy: where the audio and text go
Sembly describes anonymized model improvement with an opt-out, while Enterprise is excluded. Inspect that setting alongside the saved-history allowance; training and retention answer different questions. Supernormal’s quoted no-training commitment is paid-plan specific, which also matters on this shortlist. Dictaria excludes general-purpose training but still has cloud provider retention and account storage when those features are used.
Bot-free capture does not guarantee local processing. Likewise, a no-training promise does not mean meeting content is never stored. These rows describe published policies, not an independent security audit.
| Tool | Audio, text & processing | Training, retention & control |
|---|---|---|
| Sembly | Cloud meeting records can be deleted individually or through account deletion. The privacy policy also describes automatic deletion rules and backup retention. | The policy allows anonymized internal use and gives a workspace model-training opt-out. Its help center says Enterprise accounts are excluded from training. Verify the workspace setting rather than assuming an all-plan exclusion.Sembly privacy source · Additional detail |
| Dictaria Our product | Guest local audio and text stay on-device. Signed-in local transcripts are saved to the account. Cloud transcription and Coach send relevant content to providers. | No general-purpose model training. Provider retention can reach 30 days for transcription and 55 days for text AI. Saved content defaults to one year, with shorter or manual retention options.Dictaria privacy source |
| Supernormal | Desktop capture sends meeting content to the cloud. Notes are private until shared; users can export or delete their data. | Paid plans exclude data from training Supernormal’s or anyone else’s AI models. The quoted commitment is paid-plan specific; verify the Free plan’s terms. Business adds retention and administrative controls.Supernormal privacy source |
| Fellow | Cloud meeting records, with workspace permissions and controls for recording and sharing. Check the exact plan’s administrative features. | Fellow states that meeting data is never used to train AI models. Deletion and organization governance remain separate from that no-training commitment.Fellow privacy source |
| Avoma | Encrypted cloud recordings and meeting content, with workspace and CRM access to consider. Custom retention is listed on Enterprise. | Avoma states that customer data is not used to train its models. Review connected CRM permissions and organizational retention alongside that commitment.Avoma privacy source · Additional detail |
In Dictaria, guest local transcription is temporary and has no cloud AI. Signed-in local mode saves text to your account, and Coach sends selected context to cloud AI. Follow Dictaria’s complete data flow to choose the mode that fits your meeting.
When to keep Sembly
Sembly presents a workflow that turns meeting knowledge into client and project outputs, including briefs, proposals, and reports, alongside meeting search and captured decisions or tasks. Sembly documentation.
Keep Sembly on the shortlist if reusable client deliverables are what saves your team time. Test the finished document and the review effort, not just the speed of its first draft.
A polished proposal can still make the wrong promise
Choose a conversation in which a client floated an idea but did not approve it. Any generated brief should preserve that distinction. Review assumptions, scope, dates, and responsibilities before judging the formatting. The cost of correcting a confident commitment can be much larger than the minutes saved drafting it.
Where Dictaria fits
Dictaria is a candidate when you want to clarify the conversation before it becomes a deliverable. Bring selected reference documents into Coach, ask for an explanation or advice, and keep editable notes alongside the transcript. Later, Workspace Chat can help you retrieve the discussion when you prepare your own brief. See how Coach works.
Dictaria is not presented as a replacement for every proposal-generation or project-delivery workflow. If a specific output template or integration is mandatory, test it directly instead of assuming meeting AI implies the same downstream tools.
What to test before switching
Use a short, representative meeting you have permission to record. Keep the source material consistent so you can compare the work each tool helps you finish.
- Use a meeting with both confirmed scope and tentative ideas. Check that the output separates them.
- Compare the review time needed before sending a brief to a client.
- Try a live question about an ambiguity and see whether resolving it earlier improves the eventual document.
Making the choice
Choose deliverable automation when the draft is your bottleneck. Try Dictaria when understanding the meeting and preserving a reliable personal record would improve the work that follows.
